Occurring every September, Pretzel Days is an annual fundraising event organized by our club. During this event, members and volunteers distribute pretzels in bags and solicit donations from the public, typically at street corners and shopping centers. The funds raised are used to support various community projects, with a particular focus on initiatives benefiting children and youth. See our calendar for the specific dates this year!
Who We Support
Key Club Continuing Education Funds (Topaz/Bevington)
Every year, our Kiwanis club raises continuing education funds for the Glenbrook South and Glenbrook North High School Key Clubs through various fundraising initiatives, including Pretzel Days, community/sports drawings, and raffles.
Study Buddies (Youth Services of Glenview-Northbrook)
Study Buddies is a free academic-support program designed for children in grades 1-8. A small group of children is paired with a Study Buddy, who is a volunteer from a local high school or an adult from the community. In addition to providing homework help, the program also focuses on relationship building and mentorship. In addition, volunteer groups provide and serve food to the children beforehand.

Our club’s SIGNATURE project. Pizza Mania is an annual fundraising event for the Wesley Child Care Center in Glenview, Illinois, featuring all-you-can-eat pizza from local restaurants, raffles, and other family-friendly activities. Border Tails Outreach Representative will speak:
Border Tails Rescue's mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia of homeless dogs by providing shelter and arranging loving homes for adoptable dogs through partnerships with animal service facilities throughout our local area, on a national level through partnerships with animal service facilities in other states and internationally through partnerships with facilities in Mexico and other underserved areas. Additionally, through education, community outreach and our spay neuter program, Border Tails Rescue seeks to reduce the overpopulation of homeless dogs.
Yesterday, Matt Dimuzio (Government Affairs Liaison) and Dave McGee (Charitable Director) from the League of Very Ordinary Gentlemen (LVOG) spoke to our club about the extraordinary beginnings and growth of their club. This unique, truly Glenview-focused club grew out of the chaos of COVID by a group of dads who needed to socialize, exercise, get out of the house and play some ball! Word spread, the group grew, and a few years later, LVOG became a giving force in the community as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, giving back to the community by funding and supporting families in various ways and making a difference in lives. We thank them for their service and time and look forward to perhaps partnering with them on a community service cause or function. #KidsNeedKiwanis and LVOG! ... See MoreSee Less
